Wonderful Monday
Today was a wonderful day! Got up at 5:30 am to to Lower Body Piyo and it was a positive way to start my day! Students were ready and willing to stay on task and learn. Daughter bought me dinner and spending the evening with my granddaughter. I truly believe that getting up and exercising in the morning is as great way to start the day!

Feeling good!
So, a week later, I am down 2 lbs and 2.75 inches! Feeling good about my weight and the way I look. I owe it all to Shakeology and the terrific people in my Challenge groups. They keep me accountable every day.

Depression
Feeling a little depressed due to not really exercising a lot and worrying about things I can't control. One of the things I want to say is that for me, depression makes my body hold on to weight. I start thinking about all the "wrong" things in my life and never stop to think about the "great" things in my life. When it is all said and done, there are wonderful things happening in our lives every minute of every day. We just need to stop the negative talk and let the positive take over!

Nothing new
Nothing is new. I am still on crutches but eating healthy and that makes me feel great. I started looking at property for sale in the Port Orchard, Gig Harbor area for when I retire. Beautiful area and there are some nice areas with acreage and good prices. I believe it is never to early to think about what I want for my future.

Promise to 2 special people
I am making the following promise to Vincent and Abigail. I promise to stop worrying about what I can't do with you because I don't have the money. I will in return, make all the time we spend together fun and memorable. It is not about what I can give you that is bought but what I give you from my heart. I love you both!

Just a little update. I am still on crutches, I was hoping the 2 weeks were over, and still icing my knee. I am watching what I eat and looking at healthier choices. Picked up Angie's Boom Chicka Pop popcorn today at Sam's Club and drinking my Shakeology every day. I am also looking at other lower impact workouts and leaning strongly towards Piyo. Hopefully, when I go back to the doctor, she will give me the OK!

Word to the wise
Ok...so A little word of advice, when your body tells you to slow down....listen to it! I was on a roll loving the Combat. Did my lunges, squats, not so much of Burpees and the next day my left knee started to hurt. So, I didn't exercise, iced my knee and figured it would be all better.
Fast forward to today. After 3 days of icing and babying my knee, I went to the doctor. Strained ligaments and on crutches for 2 weeks! No exercise...I can't even swim! So, I guess I have to listen more closely when my body tells me to slow down and it's had enough. Feeling healthy and energetic is awesome but as I age I need to understand that maybe taking a little more time is the best way.
